Nice boutique hotel in a grand old building. The whole place is fitted out with period furniture and fittings from the nearby antiques shop. Great "full fry" breakfast in the basement Friendly staff, quiet location and views of either the countryside or town 'market square'. If I had to find fault, I would say finding a parking is not straight forward, the WiFi can be a little spotty and the mains socket next to my bed didn't work (however there was another available nearby). I would recommend going for an en-suite, but the shared bathrooms were very quiet during my stay so not a big problem. Overall a nice place to stay which is much more interesting than some soulless chain hotel. The little town of Moy is nice and not touristy. I spotted at least 4 pubs nearby including a few places to eat. There's also a chip shop and pizza place if you want. A Co-Op and spar are also nearby. All within very short walking distance of the centrally located B&B. If you like a little character in the place you stay, I would recommend Charlemont house and stay again.
The best stay In a hotel I have had! The entire place is picturesque and perfectly clean The customer service! I couldn’t have been a more awkward customer and they answered every request quick and easy! If you ever have a problem at this hotel it will be a you issue and not them! Can’t recommend here enough will definitely be coming again!
Stayed for one night. Victorian house decorated in the style of the period. Picked up the keys from 'Tomneys Bar' just a couple of doors up and also owned by the same family. Julianna made us welcome and a nice breakfast in the morning. We ate at the Ryandale Inn which was OK but nothing special. Took a look around Moy Antiques, also owned by Juliannas family. If you get the chance take a look around - it's like a Tardis!
Beautiful house, great location and lovely courtyard. Very nice stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Some renovations are needed on areas of the house due to the age if the building. But fantastic place to stay!
We had a great stay in Charlemont House! There were 10 of us for a hen weekend so we had it to ourselves and it was ideal. Julianne was so easy to deal with and helped us find an activity (flower crown making with Frugal Flair) and gave us great local tips. The house was lovely, so well set up and adaptable to our needs (eg folding tables that we could use and then put away). The hot tub was fab and the rooms comfortable. Location was ideal, right beside the bar, restaurant and cafe that we also visited.
Lovely stay here, friendly family run business and a fantastic breakfast. Communication on point. Really nice antique shop of theirs a couple doors down!
Very nice place to stay. Old house with the necessary modern touch. (Internet, TV, heating) Found the room really good. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom not quite as good. Maybe needed updating. Breakfast was really good, cooked by our host. Very friendly welcome and overall stay. Recommended !!
